High Vacuum Extraction System Design and Implementation

Designed, installed and operated Interim Removal Actions (IRA) of seven contaminated areas across a 1,300-acre active military facility in Los Alamitos, California. Five of the IRA sites involved implementation of dual phase vacuum extraction systems with blower capacities ranging from 900 to 1400 acfm. Remediation involved petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and management of former landfill. Utilized phytoremediation to implement long term monitoring program.
